He spent 14 years in the foster care system, aging out as a teenager while navigating the challenges of instability, identity, and belonging. Those formative years deeply influenced his understanding of the power—and necessity—of support, guidance, and meaningful connection.

Through perseverance, faith, and personal growth, Marcus came to recognize that his experiences were not obstacles, but preparation. He believes God used those seasons to shape his heart for others and to position him to help create pathways of support for those who may feel unseen, unsupported, or unsure of their purpose.
